Hello, and a very happy Thursday to you!
We are officially making last minute weekend plans, so let’s look at a few of the options Bristol has to offer.
Friday 21st:
The British European Jazz Ensemble will be at Colston Hall. This is a free event and it kicks off at 6:15p.m.
With musicians reigning from all over Europe it truly is a melting pot of our (fairly local) talent; composed by David Mowat it expects to bring a mix of light Latin breeze’s and hard bop excursions.

Saturday 22nd:
For more of a relaxing Saturday evening we have selected The Grand Budapest (15) at The Watershed. This beautiful harbourside cinema is the perfect little hideaway to enjoy Wes Anderson’s latest comedy-drama, just in time before it ends next Thursday.
The adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.
With an all star cast and his unapologetic quirky style, Anderson retained his distinctive detailing and true comedy throughout; almost like the perfect finishing touches to a decadent hand-crafted cupcake, absolute perfection.

If you’re cut out for a bit of a heavier Saturday evening then in:motion might be just the place for you. Rhyme and Reason and BFF present MF Doom and guests. MF Doom is the British-born American hip-hop artist best known for his “super villain” stage persona. Long before SBTRKT burst onto the electronic music scene with his brightly tribal and feathered mask, MF DOOM had claimed this aloof mystique and a cult of die hard fans. The latest tour is just as magnificent as expected. Tickets £22.

Sunday 23rd:
For a relaxing last day to the weekend why not mosey over to The Paintworks for their Vintage Kilo Sale. The event is just £1 entry and card transactions will be available, forming a collaboration between Europe’s vintage wholesaler and Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair.
There will be a mixture of vintage dresses, tee’s, shirts and more, with prices from £15 per tonne dropping to £10 per tonne- it will be inspiring if nothing else.
